[Good news] Now you can practice putting anytime and anywhere!
The number of putts makes up about 25 percent of your golf score. However, many amateur golfers spend very little time on putting practice. Or should we say that they are unable to spend time on it? Few golf driving ranges have a putting green, and there are not many people who can set up a putting practice environment at home. In reality, most people only do putting practice before they play a round at a golf course.
“Shadow Putting” is a dream of an app that lets you practice putting anytime and anywhere, so long as you have a little bit of time and a small space where you can take a putting stance.
The practice method is very easy. Hold your iPhone with both hands, as if it were the grip of the putter, and take your stance. Swing when the iPhone says “Start!” The app will instantly know the direction of your face at the moment of impact, as well as the distance that the ball covered. This app has more than just the “Practice” mode that simply lets you repeat putt swings over and over. It also includes a “One-putt challenge” mode that lets you compete with players from all over the world or with friends at successfully putting the ball with one stroke from as great a distance as possible. There is also a “Test” mode that lets you check from how far away you can putt the ball with only two strokes. You can practice putting as if you were enjoying a game while having fun and competing in rankings.

This app includes three modes: “Practice,” “One-putt challenge,” and “Test.”
You can put in regular practice with the “Practice” mode, try your luck with the “One-putt challenge” mode, and measure your true ability with the “Test” mode.
(1) "Shadow Practice" (free)
With this mode, you can practice with any distance and green speed (stimpmeter) of your choosing. One round of exercise ends after five swings, and the app shows your results such as average values or variations to your swings.
When you practice once (five swings), you get one coin. You can use these coins to play the other modes.
(2) "One-Putt Challenge"
With this mode, you can compete with players from all over the world or with friends at successfully putting the ball with one stroke from as great a distance as possible.
You start at one meter (three feet), and you can increase that distance whenever you successfully putt the ball with one stroke.
Every time you play, you consume one coin. You can play as often as you want so long as you have coins remaining.
(3) "Two-Putt Contest"
With this mode, you can check from how far away you can putt the ball with only two strokes. The unit of value used here is called “TPD.” This is an abbreviation of “two-putt distance.”
You play a nine-hole round with just putting swings, and your TPD is calculated from the results of that round. You can also compete with friends and players around the world to get the best TPD.
